Welcome letter

        In recent years, synthetic biology in China has made remarkable achievements in many fields, such as the exploration of the law of life and the application of life science and technologies, through integration with mathematics, chemistry, computational science, engineering science and other disciplines, as well as collaborative innovation with traditional biology subjects such as microbiology, botany and zoology. “Synthetic Biology Young Scholar Forum”, which is growing with the development of synthetic biology, has become the most representative event in the field of synthetic biology in China. It strongly promotes the cross integration of synthetic biology with many other academic fields and provides a platform for like-minded young scholars at home and abroad to communicate and collaborate.

        This forum mainly focuses on biological components and chassis design, gene editing and genetic circuit design, metabolic synthetic biology, medical synthetic biology, synthetic genomics, animal synthetic biology, plant synthetic biology, environmental synthetic biology, new techniques and theories of synthetic biology, biosecurity and bioethics, and other themes. The organizing commitee will invite famous scientists from China and abroad to give the plenary lecture and select outstanding young scientists tomake session reports based on the abstracts of their submitted conference reports. To provide fully opportunities for the graduate students and undergraduates to display and communicate, poster communication session and poster awards will be set. We warmly welcome young scientists and graduate students from both China and abroad to attend the forum. Online registration and abstracts should be submitted before Aug. 1, 2019.
